OCEAN PARK MANILA
Enjoy a leisurely jog to Manila Ocean Park which is just a 10-minutes walk away from Bayview Park Hotel. Manila Ocean Park, though newly opened promises to be one among the most advanced Ocean Park in Asia with it?s assortment of colorful fishes and other marine animals indigenous to the ocean parkPhilippines and Asia.

   

SM MALL OF ASIA
Mall of AsiaSM Mall of Asia is the Philippines' largest shopping mall, with 600 shops and 150 dining establishments under its roof. It boasts of the first ever IMAX theater in the country with one of the world's biggest IMAX screens in 3D. MoA, as it is abbreviated, also features the country's first Olympic-sized skating rink and an open-air Music Hall where concerts and other events are held. The first ever SM Science Discovery Center can also be found here. It features a digital planetarium and a wide range of technology and science-themed exhibits. MoA is certainly a must-visit destination for the entire family because of the wide range of attractions and events it boasts of.

•    RIZAL PARK
This city park, also called Luneta, is one of the biggest parks in the country. It rizal park manilafeatures a huge globe in the center of a roller skaing rink; a pool with water fountains; the Rizal Monument bearing the remains of the National Hero Jose Rizal; the Quirino Grandstand (venue for demonstrations and religious meetings); a Japanese and Chinese Garden (with fish pond), an orchidarium and a butterfly park. It stages a Concert at the Park every Sunday at 5:00pm.

There are playgrounds for children; a pool showing a model of the Philippines in miniature and music broadcast through loudspeakers and boats at the back of the Quirino Grandstand for a harbor cruise. On New Year?s Day, thousands upon thousands throng the Luneta.

  INTRAMUROS
intarmurosIntramuros was the Spanish capital during times of colonialism. Places of historical interests are Casa Manila, San Agustin Church, Fort Santiago with the Rizal shrine and the Manila Cathedral.



•    MALACANANG PALACE
This place used to be the residence of the governor-generals of the Spanish and American colonial governments. It has become the official residence of the succeeding Philippine presidents. Malaca?ang?s main building is now a museum Malacanang palaceand can be visited.



•    CORRIGEDOR
The tadpole-shaped island guarding the entrance of Manila Bay (also called The Rock) was the site of one of the greatest battles of the Pacific during World War II and General Douglas MacArthur?s last stand in corrigidorthe Philippines. First fortified by the Spanish, later extended and enlarged by the Americans, Corregidor Island is where the American general evacuated to at the start of the war, before being forced out by the Japanese in 1942. He was to return in great triumph in 1945 to liberate Manila.

One can trek through wartime history anew through the newly constituted guided tour of The Rock. Day-trippers are transferred twice daily to Corregidor from the CCP breakwater by a liner, a comfy hour and 10 minutes ride across the waters. The 2-hour bus tour around the island then takes the guests to the war relics and historical landmarks such as the Malinta Tunnel, MacArthur?s Headquarters; Middleside Barracks, the skeletal remains of a 548-meter long wartime barracks; and the various cannons, batteries and blasted gun emplacements.
